Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's aptitude for sports was apparent from the time she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, in just 10 weeks after her first trial. Felix was signed to professional work with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. She was the youngest ever world champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently among the top 3 athletes in her various events in the Olympics held in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
