Dolly Rebecca Parton was born on January 19 1946 in Pittman Center, Tennessee and raised in Sevierville, Tennessee to Avie Lee Parton who was a housewife & Robert Lee Parton, a tobacco farmer. At the age of 12 she was already appearing on Knoxville TV. At 13 she was already recording for a small label as well as singing at Grand Ole Opry. She graduated high school in 1964 before moving to Nashville for her country music journey. Carl Dean, a asphalt-paving business owner was her first love. They were married May 30 June, 1966.
