Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis (Greek pronunciation: October 1, 1969) was a famous American comedian, actor as well as a musician, writer and comedian. He was a comic, actor and host of Late World with Zach (VH1) Galifianakis has appeared in several films including The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010), The Campaign (2012), Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) and Masterminds (2016). He has also voiced characters for animated films like Puss in Boots (2011), The Lego Batman Movie (2017), Missing Link (2019), and Ron's Gone WRONG (2021). Galifianakis is currently host of the talk show Between Two Ferns, with Zach Galifianakis. He was a part of the FX series Baskets and was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2017. Zachary Knight Galifianakis was a native of Wilkesboro, North Carolina on October 1 1970. His mother is an English-Irish as well as Scottish and his paternal grandparents are Greek immigrants from Crete. He was baptized within his father's Greek Orthodox faith. He has Merritt and a younger sister and Greg, a brother older than him. The cousin of his is Washington Post cartoonist Nick Galifianakis and his uncle, who is also known as Nick Galifianakis, is a politician. Galifianakis attended Wilkes Central High School. He then attended North Carolina State University and majored in communications. He was an operator of a radio station at a public access station while at college. He taught the waltz class, in 1991, where he met with Mary J. Blige. Galifianakis was on Saturday Night Live two weeks after making his TV debut on Boston Common. According to him, he claimed that he was the Saturday Night Live host for two weeks. Britney was host for the second week. Created a sketch. Will Ferrell was going act as a bodyguard to her belly button as we tried to shrink Will down so that she could fit in a belly button. ...she simply stared at me when I explained the idea to her. Then she added, "Yeah, that's funny." Galifianakis was in the film Out Cold and also had roles in Corky Romano and Below, Bubble Boy and Heartbreakers.
