Brooke Christa Shields, born May 31 1965 is an American actress. She was initially a child model, and was praised by the press at the age of 12 due to her lead role in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling into her teenage period, and was highly praised for her part in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby. In the 1990s, Shields returned to acting and appeared in minor roles in films. She also starred in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-2000), for which she was awarded two Golden Globe nominations, and Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009). In 2017, Shields was back on NBC as a key recurring role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which is currently in its 19th season. Shields has the role of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields is a New Yorker who was born on May 31st 1965 in Manhattan. She is the daughter and businessman Frank Shields (1941-1903). According to William Addams Reitwiesner's research, Shields is related to various noble families of Italy specifically from Genoa as well as Rome. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi di Civitella was her paternal grandmother. She was the daughter of an American socialite and an Italian prince. Her great-uncle Alessandro Torlonia, an Italian nobleman was husband to Infanta Beatriz in Spain. Teri was paid the sum of money by Frank's family to end the pregnancy.
