Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush, an American pop-punk band
was formed in the year 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and
James Maslow and also Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They initially
signed to Nick Records in 2009 before switching to Columbia Records. The group
was featured on Nickelodeon's television series Big Time Rush. The series aired
from November 28th, 2009 through July 25 the 25th of July, 2013. The pilot
episode featured the group's first single promo, "Big Time Rush". The
group has released three studio albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011, and
24/Seven in 2013. The group in 2014 took an indefinite break that lasted until
2021. The group resumed live performances and released "Call it Like I See
It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 in
conjunction with the TV show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon was then joined by
Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to create the series and also provide
original music. The series' first single, "Big Time Rush" was
released on November 29 in 2009. Officially revealed on Nickelodeon the song
first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later broadcast worldwide. The
theme song was included in a preview of the series for one hour , and is the
opening song of the show. Promo singles, such as "City is Ours",
"Any Kind of Guy" and others were also released during the series.
Big Time Rush remixed "Famous" by Play. The song was released on
iTunes on June 29 in 2010. The second song, "Halfway There", was
released to iTunes after it's premiere on the series. It was soon their first
chart-topping song on the Billboard Hot 100. It hit 93 on the list thanks to
the digital sales. Big Time Rush's second single, "Till You Forget About
You", was released on the 21st of September, 2010. The purpose of the
release was to announce the release of their debut album. BTR, the album BTR
came out on the 11th of October October 11, 2010, a day after the album's
release. The album reached number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies in
its first week.
